Our Courses



The courses at Mcensal School of Fashion & Design are uniquely crafted to provide a thorough understanding and practical appreciation of the operational realities of the industry.  The courses are as follows:

This is a part time certificate course that involves an intense learning period. Its tailor made for people who can only be available in the evening.

The courses are in the following units:

  • Fashion illustration & Idea generation
  • Pattern Drafting
  • Clothing Construction
  • Textile Exploration
  • Fabric manipulation
  • Fashion Business

This course run for three months Monday to Friday from 5.30pm to 7.30 pm.

The certificate is an in house.

Introduction:
The qualification has been designed around holistic, explorative, and integrated creative teaching approaches that are conducive to deep learning and skills development. The qualification supports a curriculum where learners are able to continually revisit their approaches to the making and understanding of art and design practice, adding levels of refinement, sophistication, and precision to their practice as they progress. The structure of the qualifications is in keeping with current industry practice across high-performing university teaching and assessment methodology. The completion of an extensive portfolio that showcases learners’ skills and knowledge will prepare them for progression internationally.
In order to achieve this, FIVE mandatory areas of content, have been developed to give learners valuable transferable skills.

  • Communication
These FIVE content areas are assessed under the teaching modules listed below

  2. A2 Responding to a brief
  3. B1 Personal Progression
  4. B3 Creative Industry Response
Learners will further engage in units such as

  2. Fabric decoration
  3. Fashion illustration
  4. Pattern Drafting
  5. Clothing Construction
all designed to sharpen their skills in the industry.

The Pearson BTEC Higher National Diplomas Level 5 Diploma in Fashion and Design is a 240 credits and 960 guided Learning hours (GLH) qualification.
